While our cruise committee headed by John Pedlow has been working overtime to plan a Spring Cruise along the lines of our traditional cruises, it appears that our optimism regarding Covid 19 was a bit premature. It has become obvious that the planed barbeque and rum barrel along with a catered dinner will not be possible for this spring’s cruise. John is putting together a non-official cruise, utilizing the previously booked moorage and itinerary but absent any major gatherings. The cruise will be at no cost to participants other than moorage expense and allow for small gatherings of members observing CDC guidelines either ashore, on the dock, or at anchorage. Rafting is generally frowned upon but with reasonable precautions, as prescribed in the guidelines, it is expected that members using their own discretion may visit or otherwise socialize with fellow members. Hopefully the fall cruise will be under more relaxed conditions and, as a note of optimism, we are booked for the Annual CCA Dinner on November 21 at the Seattle Yacht Club.  Absent any significant change in the Covid situation for Washington State, the Club expects to be fully operational at that time.
