Monday August 4th: A Day at the Hurricane Island Center for Science and Leadership

On Monday August 4th we will spend the day on Hurricane Island where we will have the opportunity to interact with Hurricane Island Center for Science and Leadership staff, tour the Field Research Station, hear from marine ecologists addressing relevant climate research, and meet educators and students conducting science-based inquiry on the island. We will be served lunch and the day will end with a cocktail party. (A more detailed agenda is below.) 

ROCKLAND FERRY: For those of you who are on Vinalhaven or wish to take the ferry from Rockland to Carvers Harbor on Vinalhaven, we will arrange to pick you up and return you to the Vinalhaven ferry terminal in Carvers Harbor. We recommend taking the 0845 ferry from Rockland. Unfortunately, the last ferry of the afternoon back to Rockland leaves Vinalhaven at 1630 and you will miss the cocktail party on Hurricane. Note that your cost of registration does not include ferry tickets - $40.50 round-trip.) The charge for this option is $25 / pp and covers transportation from/to the ferry dock in Carvers Harbor and lunch.
