Useful Booking Sites – less expensive/special situations

Look for rooms in downtown Boston, the North End, Charlestown and East Boston

If coming by boat….

We have a group rate at the Charlestown Marina.  The rate will ultimately depend on the number of boats in our group but is likely to be the following:

  • $2.50/ft for yachts under 50’ / $4.50/ft for yachts over 50’
  • $35/day for 30 A power / $45/day for 45 A power

Charlestown Marina

1 Pier 8 • 13th Street • Charlestown, MA 02129

617.242.2020

The marina is an eight-minute walk from the Constitution Museum.  The docks were built three years ago so it is a modern, well-appointed facility, with laundry and showers.  You can Uber to Battery Wharf or take the Boston Harbor Water Taxi (617-227-4320) from Dock #48 next to the marina directly to Battery Wharf ($15/person).

Please let Charlie Willauer 617-645-8124 know if you think you will be docking at the Charlestown Marina so he can coordinate the group rate and make sure CCA members are berthed close to one another.

Another option from Jim Woodward:

We live aboard Fintry at Boston Harbor Shipyard and Marina, across the harbor in East Boston. (The best landmark is the Nantucket Lightship Museum.) There is water taxi service to all points on the harbor at $20 a head round trip. The Maverick stop on the Blue line and the Logan airport Terminal A stop on the Silver Line are each about 3/4 of a mile away.

The marina has said that it can offer docking on a space available basis at their winter rate which is $1.50/ft per day. There would be a charge for power similar to be above. They also offered to let us tie one or two boats to Fintry, no charge.
