Event Signup Pages: make and read

To see the results of an event signup form

  1. Be logged in. You might need your online credentials updated to access the steps below.
  2. Go to the event signup page. Depending on the event type, you will access the signup LIST in one of two ways:
    1. Simple forms will have a “who is coming” list on the right. At the bottom of that list is an orange “CSV” button that has a downloadable file.
    2. Complex forms are a little more touchy. These are the forms with more complex signups. At the TOP of that form is a link that says “who bought.” That also has a csv download option.

To create an event signup form

  1. Be logged in. Again, you may need your online credentials updated to access the steps below.
  2. For Simple forms that just collect the participants’ names:
    1. Go to the “Quick Event Maker” at https://cruisingclub.org/admin/commerce/makeproduct
    2. Select the “store,” which will ordinarily be your own station’s store. This determines where the money goes and how people can pay.
    3. Give the signup a title and a description.
    4. Enter a per-person price.
    5. Enter a SKU, which will also become part of the link to find the page.
    6. Enter a maximum capacity. Enter 1000 if no limit
    7. Click “make It”.  An email will come to you with the link to the event.
  3. COMPLEX forms are created by the webmaster. These include things like boat name, multiple event options, uploaded forms, or more.
  4. Regardless of the form type be sure to add a link to it to your event and newsletters.
