There are 2 ways to get to Lunenburg
- By air to Halifax Stanfield International Airport and from there by road to Lunenburg – a 1 hour & 20 minute drive
- By road
- Through New Brunswick into Nova Scotia
- Via the CAT Ferry from Bar Harbour, ME to Yarmouth, NS
Transport between Halifax Stanfield International Airport and Lunenburg
Driver Dave’s
A partnership has been prearranged with Driver Dave’s to provide transportation between Stanfield International Airport and Lunenburg. Driver Dave’s is a door-to-door shuttle and private car service that makes travel to and from the Halifax Airport both easy and affordable. They will track your flight and communicate with you to adapt to any flight changes ensuring they are ready at the airport when you arrive.
You may book a private car for yourself and your travel partners, but if you're looking for a budget friendly option, you can request a door-to-door shuttle and they will group you with others attending the CCA 2023 Fall Meeting so the cost of a van can be shared between passengers.
Pricing could be impacted by fuel prices, but current prices are:
- Private Car: $225
- Private SUV/Van: $250
- Shuttle prices will depend on how many attendees have similar arrival times, but will be between $60 - $100 per person. Driver Dave's will communicate with you in advance so you may confirm before your travel date.

(Please ignore the pricing on the booking form as that is intended for transportation between the airport and the city of Halifax). Driver Dave’s will send you a confirmation email. Rental Car
There are 8 car rental companies at the Halifax Airport – Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty. The cheapest rate for a pick up on Thursday and drop off on Saturday is $205 including tax. If you want to rent a car, we highly recommend you do so in advance of arrival as there have been occasions during busy times that the companies run out of rental cars.
Uber
Uber service is available in Nova Scotia but is not as available as one might expect in a city.

Note that during hurricane season the CAT Ferry may be subject to weather cancellations.
Shuttle from Yarmouth to Lunenburg
Book shuttle services from the CAT Ferry to Lunenburg here. This shuttle service runs between Yarmouth and Halifax but will drop of passengers in Lunenburg when requested.
