2024 Spring Cruise

May 15 - May 20, 2024

Schedule of events:

• Wednesday, May 15 - Optional rendezvous in Harness Creek for boats without dock space in Annapolis. Cocktail visits amount the boats.

• Thursday, May 16 - Proceed to Gibson Island Yacht Club 

  • Dock space and moorings are available at Gibson Island Yacht Club on a first come, first served basis. Call Gibson Island Dockmaster, Denver Sanner, on channel 78 or 410.255.7632 when entering the harbor.

  • 1730 - 1930 Cocktails at Gibson Island Boat House with open bar and passed hors d' oeuvres ($75/per person).

  • Dinner on your own. Participants will have the option to enjoy dinner at the Gibson Island Club house.

  • Drive in guests are welcomed. Gatehouse number is 410-255-0012. Please notify Will Passano [wpassano@gmail.com] if you plan to arrive by car to ensure access through the gatehouse. 

  • Note - you must make prior arrangements with the gatehouse if you are driving. Do not expect to show up at the gate unannounced and be admitted.

• Friday, May 17 - Proceed to Langford Creek off the Chester River.

  • The Robert Goldsborough Henry Race will be held on Friday for those participating.  Race instructions will be provided to entrants prior to the race.

  • Raft up behind Cacaway Island, Lat 39° 07’ 26.4” N, Long 76° 09’ 45.2 W. The Rum Keg will be available. Bring an appetizer to share.

• Saturday, May 18th - Chestertown Yacht Club

  • Proceed up river to Chestertown. Anchor out although dock space may be available at Chestertown Marina, (410-778-3616) and limited space may be available at Chester River Yacht and Country Club, (410-778-3818). 

  • Make arrangements on your own with Chestertown Marina or Chester River Yacht and Country Club. 

  • 1700 - 2100 Cocktails (cash bar) and dinner ($85/person) at Chester River Yacht and Country Club, including cold hors d'oeuvres, buffet dinner with soup or salad, two side dishes, dessert, rolls & butter, coffee & tea. 

  • Drive in Guests welcome.

  • Note: Chestertown Marina is approximately 1 mile walk or dinghy ride from Chester Yacht and Country Club.

• Sunday, May 19th - Raft up and final get together in Corsica River for those who want even more. 

  • Location 39° 04’ 43.96”N,  76° 05’ 55.86”W.Raft up in Corsica River

• Monday, May 20th - Fleet disbands
