Celebrating the tri-centenary of the Royal Cork Yacht Club and the coast of Ireland
The Royal Cork YC has an invitation to the CCA along with other yacht clubs to come and participate with them in a festival of sail and a cruise in company on the SW coast of Ireland, July 2020. They will arrange for a variety of events including a number of parties. Organizations are invited to develop groups of special interest under this umbrella. The CCA is planning to contact the “sister” cruising clubs to explore possibilities to participate with them. Further early information, see attachment, at https://www.cork300.com/ or by contacting the cruise chair, Dave Curtin (BOS) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Great Gathering
July 2020, Cork Harbour, Ireland
In July 2020 the Royal Cork Yacht Club will celebrate where it all began with a “Great Gathering” of yachtsmen and yachts from all around the world. A key element of this Great Gathering will be a series of events across Cork Harbour which will celebrate its position as Irelands maritime haven – allowing those gathered to discover the land, its people and their culture.
The keys dates for these events are Friday 3rd July to Sunday 24th July 2020, which will see an itinerary of activities afloat and ashore accompanied by a varied social schedule that would impress even the founding members of the club.
These events will be preceded by Sea Fest and followed by Cork Week and a Cruise in Company along the Wild Atlantic Way so Cork Harbour will be the only place to be in July 2020.
