Founder of Sail to Shelter

Angela Abshier will tell about a remarkable re-use of high tech sails in providing shelter for those most in need, about how she came to address this niche through her nonprofit organization, and how others may participate.

Angela is the Founder of Sail to Shelter, a nonprofit whose mission it is to transform all sails into shade and shelter solutions for humanitarian aid. Angela is an intellectual property lawyer and sustainability junkie. She has spent most of her career in innovative technologies and product design in gaming, hospitality, blockchain and cryptocurrency. She was working on a secondary marketplace for deadstock material in the garment industry when she started offshore racing and quite literally stumbled into the global sail problem. Join us May 3 and listen to Angela tell us how she became an accidental ocean advocate and humanitarian by way of sustainable fashion.

The deadline for registering for this event is May 1.  No registrations will be accepted after this date.  The cost is $40.  Register now at this link.
