Hi all,
I just pulled some rubber surge protectors (absorb-shock thingies) out of a rarely looked-at nook on Alchemy. The rubber ones I have noticed last a while but not long. There are metal spring ones that are very expensive. I developed the above hack which has worked for Alchemy and relegated the surge protectors to their hidden nook only to be discovered years later.
I found a hack for them in the Azores where some of the marinas could become quite surgy.
Hi all, Written for a question on another forum, but thought it might be of interest.
Poor man’s spinnaker net
A couple of thoughts on spinnaker/asym use.
The most likely, almost predictable, times I have gotten headsail wraps were in light air and swells/wakes. The swell/wake gets the boat rolling and the asym collapses around the headstay (the light air keeps the asym from being well behaved). The continued rolling serves to tighten and extend the wrap: a real mess.
I have tried myself, and observed over the years, a number of ways to clean and lubricate winches and I have a suggestion:
Hello All:
I remember gong throught the process to add my CCA membership card diditally to my Apple Wallet. Recently when I went to retrieve it, it was no longer there, and I do not have a physical memebership card. Can anyone tell me how to reinstall a digitel version of my membership card to my Appel Wallet?
Where can I buy CCA burgee windshield stickers or decals about three inches long?
Once upon a time, the Florida Station sold them at luncheons, but that hasn't been happening lately. I've depleted my supply and have been unable to find them anywhere.
If you know of a source, please let me know by email.
Many thanks,
