Ownership

Modified version of L. Francis Herreshoff's "Walrus" design of 1928, built by Covey Island Boatworks in 1997.  She is built of a wood/epoxy composite, having a strip planked hull glued to laminated frames and covered with bi-axial fiberglass and epoxy resin.  Walrus is propelled by a modestly proportioned ketch rig and twin Perkins 85 HP diesels driving Luke feathering props.
