Please be ready to join the ‘On the Bar’ event in Seal Bay on Vinalhaven on June 13 1400-1800 hours hosted by the CCA Gulf of Maine Post Captain. This is an incentive (for those that are not racing to Bermuda) to get that boat in the water early and fly the CCA burgee. Bring your family, friends, kids, and competitors.
Seal Bay is a spectacular Penobscot Bay anchorage suitable for a protected island day stop or overnight. It is only accessible by boat and about as warm as it gets if you want to swim! We have timed the event to take advantage of the exposed sandbar adjacent to the anchorage. There is plenty of space to anchor boats and land dinghies on the bar (until high tide).
