CRUISE ANNOUNCEMENT
Registration for the 2023 Boston Station Cruise is now available. The Cruise will begin with a rendezvous in Gloucester, Mass., on Saturday, July 22 and conclude with a dinner at the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club in Boothbay, Maine, on Friday, July 28. The Cruise details are summarized below.
Registration
The registration fee is $150 for each participating yacht. Registration will be restricted to Boston Station members and national officers and their guests until May 15, 2023, and will thereafter be opened to all CCA members. Participation will be limited to125 persons or 25 boats. Please provide the names of your guests if they are known. To sign up go to: https://cruisingclub.org/
Cruise Events
Dinners have been arranged commencing at 1800 for four of the seven evenings of the Cruise. The dinner locations and costs per person are Gloucester ($55), Portland YC ($70), Harpswell ($75) and Boothbay YC ($95). A $20 option for children 16 and younger will be available at each location. Except for Boothbay YC, which will have a cash bar, drinks will be BYOB with setups and the CCA rum keg provided. Reservations can be made separately for each dinner. In addition, all participants are invited to an informal BYOB rendezvous at the home of Charlie and Gale Willauer on Oven Mouth Cove on the afternoon of July 26. Each boat is asked to bring an hors d’oeuvre. Dinner will not be available.
Activities for children will be planned for several of the rendezvous locations.

Saturday July 22nd Rendezvous at Gloucester, Mass. The Cruise will officially begin with a cocktail reception and dinner under a tent at Maritime Gloucester. Dinghy float and launch service are available. Attractions include the maritime museum, the schooner ADVENTURE and, for those artistically inclined, the Edward Hopper exhibit at the Cape Ann Museum which opens that day.
Sunday, July 23. No Events Planned. Recommended Anchorage: Kittery, Maine. A late afternoon tour of the Wood Island Life Saving Station may be organized. Monday, July 24. Rendezvous at Portland Yacht Club, Falmouth Foreside, Maine. Facilities include restrooms and showers (including a towel if you forget yours), a coin laundry, library, and a chart room. PYC and Handy Boat Yard, next door, have moorings. PYC Launch service is available as well as a dinghy dock. A designated anchorage area can be found just west of Clapboard Island which is an approximately ¾ NM dinghy ride. For those planning to arrive by car please note that parking is limited and carpooling is recommended.
Tuesday, July 25. No Events Planned. Recommended Anchorage, the Basin or Sebasco Harbor Resort. Childrens activities for boats anchored in the Basin are being planned.
Wednesday, July 26. Rendezvous at Great Island Boatyard, Harpswell, Maine. A catered dinner will be served in the boat shed. Cocktails will be BYOB with setups provided and the CCA rum keg. Facilities include showers. Moorings and slips available
Thursday, July 27. Rendezvous at the Cross River, Edgecomb, Maine (43°56.19' N 69°39.043’ W). Gale and Charlie Willauer will welcome the Cruise for BYOB cocktails at their farm overlooking the Cross River (off the Sheepscot River) near the entrance to the Oven Mouth. Protected anchorage in the Cross River and Oven Mouth. A dinghy landing is available. Each boat is asked to provide one hors d’oeuvre.
Friday, July 28. Rendezvous at Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club. Dinner will be served in the clubhouse. Moorings available through the Yacht Club and the harbormaster.
