Antigua Guadeloupe Winter 2024 Cruise – Charter boat reservations now available.
We are pleased to report that expressions of interest in the CCA and NYYC crossed burgee winter cruise in the Caribbean have been very strong. Several people are now in the process of reserving their charter boats. All charters will originate in Antigua.
The Antigua portion of the cruise will start Saturday, 9 March, 2024. Nick Brown and Heather McHutchison have been appointed CCA co-coordinators for this event. Douglas Renfield-Miller is the coordinator for the NYYC.
In the following week, beginning Saturday, 16 March, 2024, a cruise from Antigua to and around Guadeloupe is planned, with the possibility for a limited number of participants to drop off their boats in Guadeloupe. Boats also can be returned to Antigua by the charterer to avoid a drop off fee. CCA members Hilary & Andrew Armstrong have been named cruise coordinators for the Guadeloupe portion of the cruise.

A number of boats have been reserved from two charter companies -- Moorings/Sunsail in English Harbour and Dream Charters in Jolly Harbour -through Hope Swift and her team at Swift Yachts Charters. They can be chartered for one week only, or for both weeks. Efforts will be made to split available charter boats equally between our two clubs. Several of the available boats have already been spoken for and the rest will continue to be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, so please indicate your interest and make arrangements to book your boats right away. Assignments will basically be made on a first-come, first-served basis, but desire and availability may not always match. Hope Swift also handles crewed charters based in Antigua. Apply to her if you would be interested in that alternative.
Opening and closing receptions are planned for both weeks, with a few more fixed events in each venue, thus allowing participants time to visit their favorite spots as they wish in between.
The combination of a superb cruising ground, a good charter fleet and a chance to sail with fellow cruisers from the NYYC will truly make this a memorable event!
Please indicate your interest by completing the expression of interest form HERE.
Details for reserving boats and descriptions of remaining available boats are here.
The day-to-day itinerary for both weeks is being developed, and a draft will be published soon.
