CCA-NYYC JOINT CRUISE - GUADELOUPE - 16-22 MARCH 2024

Following the Antigua Cruise

The beautiful archipelago island of Guadeloupe welcomes your arrival in March, 2024. The interest level is high, with at least 16 boats (both charter and private) and over 60 members and guests showing commitments for the second week of the cruise. Charter boats will become scarce, so plan accordingly, with the information provided on the website.

The sail from Antigua to Guadeloupe is usually a close to broad reach (ENE-ESE) and at 40 NM will be an easy day trip to our first destination at Deshaies. You will need to clear customs and then have the opportunity to get acquainted with the island and enjoy the town and wonderful French atmosphere. A reception and dinner (not to be missed) is planned on Sunday, March 17th, at the renowned botanical garden, Le Jardins Botanique. Following our stay in Deshaies, we will cruise along the west side of Guadeloupe to Pigeon Island, where you can snorkel in the Jacques Cousteau Park, relax at the beach and/or explore the island on your own. Tuesday, March 19th we'll sail to the idyllic islands of Isles de Saintes, where you will experience amazing food, incredible views and all sorts of activities. The following day, we are organizing a closing cocktail reception and dinner through a local restaurant that is sure to be memorable. Casual dress is required.

Plans to secure our venues are underway and we anticipate a total PER PERSON cost to be $350-$400. With that in mind, we ask those of you attending the Guadeloupe portion of the cruise to register immediately and make an initial deposit of $400.00 USD PER BOAT. Your deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred to another yacht. These funds will help us lock-in the vendors and venues for this portion of the cruise.

A more detailed and comprehensive Registration Form for Guadeloupe will be available to all skippers/leaders at a later date.

Respectfully,

Andrew and Hilary Armstrong - Guadeloupe Cruise Co-Chairs
