The Cruising Club of America's Gulf of Maine Post is pleased to host an event on Sunday April 12th 4-6 PM at Shipyard Brewing in Portland featuring Ronnie Simpson.

Ronnie is a 40-year-old professional sailor and former skipper of the Open 50 Shipyard Brewing which competed in the first-ever Global Solo Challenge. Ronnie is now campaigning to compete in the second edition of the Global Solo Challenge in October of 2027. In early 2025 he acquired Class 40 #15 ‘Koloa Maoli’ to compete in the 2027 race with a campaign based out of Portland, Maine.
