Bermuda Station Report H2 2022
As is customary, the Bermuda Station met twice in the second half of ’22.
A lunch meeting of members was held Oct 14th at which reports were given on
- the inaugural Bermuda Short Handed Return Race
- the CCA Centenial Celebrations
It was agreed that Somers Kempe be elected Rear Commodore with effect to tie in with the election of club officers. Somers was congratulated on his work as Chair of the Newport Bermuda Organising Committee. The group nominated Buddy Rego, a past commodore of RHADC, and frequent NBR competitor to assume Brian Billings role as Trustee in March 2023.
On the evening of November 4th, the station held a very successful dinner for 40 members, partners and guests. The highlight was the presentation of Gary Jobson’s video “Sailing the World for 100 Years”.
