San Francisco Station member Mary Crowley's "Ocean Voyages Institute" works to clear plastics from the ocean and sensitive reef areas. Aboard the vessels Kwai and Kaisei, they extract literally tons of plastic on every voyage.  Here's a video commemorating a haul of 103 tons!
