The rescue video is sobering. Our fellow member Lou Meyer set out on a passage from the Canary Islands.  His boat, Strummer, began to take on water, and he evacuated (presumably following an unsuccessful effort to stem the flood) via life raft and rescue swimmer to a helicopter.  Strummer was towed to a safe port.  We're waiting for more word.  An article, with the video, can be found at this link (opens in new window).
