CCA member David Tunick was awarded this year’s Far Horizons Award for his singlehanded delivery of the 55-foot Sparkman and Stephens yawl Night Watch from Spain to Connecticut in 2022.  Overcoming a series of obstacles including electrical and steering issues, David sailed into Stamford Harbor last summer after two months at sea.  Recently, David was profiled in Soundings Magazine, where he discussed his childhood boating, his approach to adversity, and the obstacles he faced on this epic passage.
