Roger Swanson and Gaynelle Templin for their successful transit of the Northwest Passage in their 57' ketch, Cloud Nine. After unsuccesful attempts in 1994 and 2005 which were blocked by ice, their persistence was rewarded in 2007 and they became the first American yacht to complete the passage in an east to west direction in one season at the end of a 73 day, 6,600 mile voyage.
